Keeping Whidbey Island Flying

Oak Harbor Flight Club

Oak Harbor Flight Club is proud to call DeLaurentis International Airport home.
Based in Oak Harbor, Washington, the club is a community-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit
dedicated to making general aviation more accessible, affordable, and welcoming to pilots,
students, families, and aviation supporters throughout Whidbey Island.

With a two-aircraft fleet that includes a Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee and a
Cessna 150, the club provides members with opportunities to fly, learn, and
share their enthusiasm for aviation. Its growing youth aviation and community outreach
programs are also helping build a strong foundation for the future.

Growing Aviation in Whidbey Island

The club currently has ten active members and plans to grow toward a
20-member capacity by the end of the year. That growth reflects an exciting
opportunity to introduce more people to general aviation while fostering a community built
around safe flying, continuing education, and a shared appreciation for flight.

Oak Harbor Flight Club is especially grateful for the support and vision surrounding
DeLaurentis International Airport—a unique aviation gateway serving Oak Harbor
and Whidbey Island.

As the club grows, it looks forward to contributing to the airport community through
safe flying, member education, youth engagement, and public events that
celebrate aviation.

“Keeping Whidbey Island Flying”

“Keeping Whidbey Island Flying” is more than a motto. It represents the club’s commitment to
sharing the joy, discipline, responsibility, and opportunity of flight with today’s aviation
community and the next generation of pilots.

Oak Harbor Flight Club is excited to grow alongside DeLaurentis International Airport,
welcome new members, support future aviators, and help ensure that aviation remains an
active and valued part of the Whidbey Island community for years to come.
